What to Have Ready Before Your STR Cleaner Arrives
Most failed turnovers are not cleaning problems. They are access problems. The crew is in Katy at 11:20 and the lockbox still has yesterday’s code.
If this is in place, booking a turnover is the easy part.
Access
- Lockbox code or smart-lock login that survives checkout
- Gate / HOA code (Cinco Ranch, Firethorne, Cross Creek, Pecan Grove — west Houston map)
- Parking note if the driveway is a one-car pad
Linens
Next sheets and towels in the house, labeled if there is more than one closet. Remake is included in the turnover. Driving to your garage in another zip is not. Size of the job: 1-bed vs 3-bed.
Consumables you care about
Toilet paper, pods, coffee, trash bags. We can call out empties. We do not grocery-shop unless that is a separate arrangement.
What not to leave as a surprise
- A pet still in the house
- A washer full of wet guest laundry and no dryer time
- A checkout that slipped to 12:30 on an advertised 11-to-3 — see same-day timing
Room-by-room work is the checklist. Occupied (non-hosted) homes use recurring cleaning instead of the turnover card.
